We, the citizens of Los Santos, in order to establish a fair and just society, ensure the safety and security of all citizens, and ensure the prosperity of our city, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the State of Los Santos.

Article I: Executive Branch

Section 1: The executive authority shall be bestowed upon the Governor of Los Santos. The Governor shall be appointed by the Head of State and shall serve at the pleasure of the Government, maintaining office until such time as they choose to resign or are relieved of their duties.

Section 2: The Governor shall have the power to veto or approve legislation.

Article II: Judicial Branch

Section 1: The judicial power of Los Santos shall be vested in a Court of Law. The judges of the court shall be appointed by the Governor.

Section 2: The Court of Law shall have the power to hear cases and interpret laws in accordance with the Constitution of Los Santos, and shall have the power to declare any law or action of a citizen or elected official to be unconstitutional.

Section 3: The Judges of the Court shall be appointed for a lifetime term unless the Governor deems them unworthy to hold said office. The Judge's rulings are considered final and are not to be contested unless a formal request for an appeal is submitted.

Article III: Bill of Rights

Section 1: The citizens of Los Santos shall have the right to freedom of speech, press, and assembly.

Section 2: The citizens of Los Santos shall have the right to bear arms, subject to reasonable regulations as determined by the Courts.

Section 3: The citizens of Los Santos shall have the right to be secure in their persons, houses, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, and shall have the right to due process of law.

Section 4: No person shall be compelled to be a witness against themselves, and no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.

Section 5: The citizens of Los Santos shall have the right to a fair and speedy trial, by an impartial judge, and shall have the right to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation against them, to be confronted with the witnesses against them, and to have the assistance of counsel for their defense.

Section 6: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted unless otherwise approved by a judge of the Court of Law.

Section 7: The citizens of Los Santos shall have the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Article IV: Amendment Process

Section 1: Constitutional amendments may be submitted in writing to the Judiciary to be put forth for general comment.

Section 2: Any proposed amendment must be ratified by a majority of the citizens of Los Santos, voting in a special election called for that purpose.
